ABC Ontario acknowledges the generous support of the following sponsors:

In 2007, ABC Ontario received $12,500 in Parent Reaching Out (PRO) Grant funding from the Parent Engagement Office of the Ministry of Education.

This funding supported ABC Ontario's Parent Outreach campaign enabling our volunteers to produce introductory materials, in both official languages, and distribute them to local chapters, schools and libraries throughout the province.

In 2008, ABC Ontario received $15,000 for Phase 2 of our Parent Outreach Campaign from the PRO grant initiative. This enabled us to develop this website project and also to produce, update and translate resource documents which can be found here including the IEP Guide. This funding also had a tremendous impact on volunteer development as we gained new skills through the successful management of these projects.

In 2009, ABC Ontario was awarded $18,500 in PRO Grant funding towards development of a "Parents Guide to Gifted Education Programs" , a web-based resource which will soon be added to this website.

In a separately funded initiative in 2007, ABC also partnered with several other community groups to host a provinicial training conference for volunteers who serve as Special Education Advisory Committee representatives at school boards throughout the province. A webcast event was also held at a later date. This well-received project was also made possible by the PRO Grant programme.
