Proposed changes to Gifted Programming at the OCDSB 

The most recent Report from the Superintendent of Learning Support Services contains a couple of proposed changes to gifted programming.  Public consultations on the Report begin on 13 Dec 07.

Note the proposed changes in para 12 (Gifted Program (Secondary)) and para 15 ((Gifted Program (Elementary)).

Public Consultation meetings will take place on the following dates:

Thursday, December 13, 2007 -7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. 133 Greenbank Road, Board Room
Thursday, January 10, 2008 – 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Gloucester High School, Library
Thursday, January 17, 2008 - 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m Bell High School, Cafeteria

In the east end of Ottawa an accommodation review may have an impact on the Henry Larsen gifted classes.  Two of the options, being discussed, involve moving the classes to another school.  This will be the second move in three years!
