Next Toronto Event

July 25 - Evening Get-together.

Join us at Jubilee United Church from 6:15 to 8:15 pm.  Monika Quinn will be presenting.

Monika is a special education teacher for a growing gifted program (451 gifted students) in a Regional Enhanced Learning Centre in Peel Region. She is the author of the Peel Gifted Plan for secondary education and responsible for the IEPs and professional development of the enhanced subject teachers. Over the past 5 years, she has been working with students, administration, staff and parents to provide enriched programming and meaningful reporting through the IEPs. Her strength is in determining areas of need and facilitating improvements to the education of gifted high school students.

Child care will be provided for a $5 charge.  Please RSVP delgrosso@sympatico.ca.

  

Upcoming Toronto Events

ABC Toronto has arranged an event for our high school members.  We've booked Tall Ship Adventures for an overnight adventure from September 25 - 26.  The cost is $125 per student ages 13 to 18 with meals included.  This will only be open to 18 people.  Tall Ship Adventure requires 50% of the payment upfront.  Please RSVP delgrosso@sympatico.ca by August 1st if your son or daughter would like to participate.  Tall Ship Adventures is having an open house event scheduled for July 15 from 7pm to 9pm.  If you are interested in attending the open house please contact them directly at office@torontobrigantine.org.


Also being planned is a April 30, 2011 Ontario Science Centre sleepover.  The theme for the night is "Bolts, Jolts, and Volts".  The cost is $54 per person.  Barbara will be able to provide additional information at the July 25, 2010 get-together.  If you are interested please send an email to bwiseberg@bell.net.

 

ABC Toronto's June 5, 2010 Conference and Annual General Meeting, Thank you to all of those who attended.  There were over 200 parents and children who join us at TCDSB for a relaxing and information gathering morning.
